About The Region

The ‘Sunnymead’ region lays in the hills above the Moreno Valley in California and is part of the San Bernardino-Riverside Metropolitan Area. Prior to 1984 Sunnymead was is it’s own community that bordered the Moreno Community. On Dec. 3, 1984 as a result of overwhelming votes the two communities merged into one: The City of Moreno Valley.

The city has a population of slightly over 200,000 and continues to expand at a quick rate. The city has a very diverse population with 54% Hispanic, 19% White, 17% African American, 6.4% Pacific Islander/Asian, 3% two or more races, and <1% other.

The Sunnymead of the Moreno Valley is tucked at the base of Boxsprings Mountain Park and is known for being a quite and safe community with access to a private lake stocked with fish. There’s so much to do here it’s too difficult to do in one trip if you are visiting and if you live here you’ll always be finding something new!

Note: this site is not run by the City of Moreno Valley but merely a fan page for our wonderful community.
